I never really thought I would be writing a blog. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure I needed one.

But as I’ve been putting Back Porch Brushes together, I realized there are a lot of things I’d like to share that just don’t fit into a Facebook post.

There is usually something going on. I’m working on a new art kit, planning a paint party, getting ready for an event, or playing around with a painting idea to see if I can actually make it work.

And believe me, they don’t all work the first time.

Sometimes I just want to tell you where an idea came from. Why I picked that painting. Why I changed it three times. Or why there’s a moose peeking out from behind a tree. (Some ideas just make me smile.)

So that’s really what this blog is going to be.

I’ll share new kits, paint parties, things I’m working on, upcoming events and probably some of the stuff that happens in between.

Nothing fancy. Just me sharing a little more of what goes on at Back Porch Brushes.

So grab a cup of coffee and stick around. Let’s see where this goes.
